"Caught on video" case delayed

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

It was a theft caught on camera back in 2012, but now the victim says he's yet to see any justice.

Brian Perry captured this theft of chairs on surveillance video from his Belhaven home. It's been three years, and his case has yet to go to trial.

The man in the video was identified as Lee Von Ewing Junior.  He was arrested and charged with petit larceny.

The case is now facing another delay, after a judge issued a continuance in court today.

"These are not real complicated cases. This is a case where the person was caught on video, people identified him with the stolen items," said Perry as he left court. "It seems open and shut you'd like to see things move a little faster."

We talked to Lee Von Ewing Junior as he left court today. He said he didn't care about the video that the victim says shows him stealing items from the porch.
