One Jackson firefighter injured in early morning blaze

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

One Jackson firefighter was treated for minor injuries while on the scene of an early morning fire near downtown Jackson. 

The fire started around 6 a.m. Sunday at a home on Noel Street, near Mill Street.

The firefighter was released from the hospital several hours later and is ready for service.

No other injuries have been reported. It's uncertain how the fire started.
