JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Jackson Municipal Airport Authority Police removed an unruly passenger from an American Airlines evening flight to Dallas Sunday evening, April 17.

Airport authorities say the passenger, Chase Randal Jackson, became aggressive aboard the flight.

He apparently became upset over the plane's seating assignment and began yelling at the American Airlines crew.

Officials say the crew tried to calm Jackson down, but the plane had to be turned around.

The FBI was contacted and Jackson removed from the plane and was detained and questioned. Meanwhile, the flight resumed its departure to Dallas, Texas.

The FBI says they were contacted as a part of protocol, but they are not handling the case. It is being investigated by local authorities.

No other details are available at this time.
