Corinth High School was on lockdown on Thursday morning after a report of a possible weapon on campus.
Corinth School District Superintendent Dr. Edward Childress told WTVA that the cause of the lockdown was due to a threat made to a student at the high school by someone with a possible weapon.
It is not known what type of weapon or whether that person who made the threat is a student.
Childress says the district and law enforcment know who is responsible.
A Mississippi Highway Patrol spokesman says that a juvenile is in custody.
