Salvation Army introduces new Commander

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A new Regional Commander will soon take over at the Salvation Army, Jackson Corps.

Lieutenant Matt Hedgren was introduced Tuesday morning. He will take over for Captain Ken Chapman, who has been reassigned to Tulsa, Oklahoma. Hedgren and his wife Jessica are coming to Jackson from Leesburg, Florida. They look forward to serving people in the Capital City. 

"We're just excited to come in and learn the great works being done here, build on the great works of Captain Chapman, they are very close with us as well in their ministry over the years," Hedgren says.

Captain Chapman leaves on June 19, and Lieutenant Hedgren will begin the next day.
