This Mother's Day weekend Women across the country are coming together for Habitat for Humanity's Women's Build.
Saturday the Capital Area chapter began construction on a home on Greenview Drive in Jackson.
About 150 volunteers will work on building the home for Natasha Thomas and her two children for the next seven Saturdays.
Lowe's has donated $2 million dollars to Habitat's 2016 National Build.
"I'll be able to provide for my kids the home that I never had. So it's truly a blessing, a great Mother's Day gift. Thank God for Habitat, its affiliates, I hope they get many, many blessings and thank you Habitat," said Thomas.
"It's in an area that a lot of decay has happened so we're trying to build up the neighborhood and this is our probably our 19th build in 18 years," said Habitat for Humanity Women Build Co-Chair Kathryn Simmons.
Thomas and her children hope to move into their new home by July.
