JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Tonight someone's dream of winning the lottery could come true.

The Powerball jackpot already climbing past $400 Million. Mississippians cross the state line to rush and buy tickets.

“It got everyone going crazy. Everyone from Mississippi, Louisiana everywhere,” said store cashier  Alfredia Davis.

The chance to win $415 million had men and women trekking to a small store in  Delta, Louisiana to get their hands on some last minute lottery tickets.

“We bought five at first and then bought another five,” said Yazoo City resident Betty Brister.

“I am buying seven, girl,” said a lottery hopeful.

“I got two Powerball tickets and two Mega Millions,” said lottery hopeful Roger Smith.

“I don't purchase that many numbers because it only takes one ticket to win,” said Lottery hopeful Barnessa Cook.

Saturday's jackpot is the ninth highest US lottery prize in history, but it's not as big as the $1.6 billion jackpot back in January. The thought of that prize had thousands of folks waiting in long lines for hours and hours.

“I feel like the last time it was busier, but if no one hits tonight it is going to be like the last time,” said Davis.

These ticket holders said the more people that decided to sit out this time around has made it better for them.  The chances of taking home the more the $ 400 million jackpot is still about 1 and 292.2 million.

“I am one of those who thinks it may never happen, but I am positive we got lucky,” Brister said.

The winning powerball numbers for Saturday are 5,25,26,44,66 and Powerball 9.
