MADISON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Pafford EMS has expanded their footprint in Central Mississippi.

At noon on Tuesday, the family-owned, private ambulance service began serving the entire county of Madison, including the cities of Madison, Ridgeland, Flora, and Canton.

They have committed 6 full-time, brand new, state-of-the-art, GPS-tracked ambulances to the endeavor, and more are available if needed.

During the Canton Flea Market yesterday,  Chief Operating Officer Keith Carter said they rolled 10 ambulances county-wide.

Thus far, their response time is under 10 minutes per call.

Carter also said they will begin serving all of Rankin County beginning June 1. They currently serve the cities of Brandon and Pearl.

Carter said, "Pafford EMS is very excited about this opportunity and have been met with open arms by everyone in Madison County"
"We will strive to provide the very best in EMS with a prompt and professional ambulance service."

A dispatch center is in the planning and Carter says it will be in place by March of next year.
