JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The Mississippi Supreme Court has agreed to review the murder conviction of Charles Kuebler.

Kuebler was convicted in Hinds County in 2012 for the June 30, 2010 murder of Tamra Stuckey in Jackson. The Court of Appeals upheld his conviction .

Kuebler was arrested and was seen on video screaming expletives at officers and he kicked out the window of a police cruiser right after his arrest for Stuckey's murder.

About a year after he was released on bond, Kuebler was involved in an accident, accused of leaving the scene of the accident and placed in custody.

He was taken to a hospital where he removed his monitoring bracelet and fled from officers.

Kuebler and his attorneys maintain the victim was a friend who he allowed to sleep on his sofa and that she shot herself.
