BYRAM, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

New details have emerged in the  death of a Byram man. Officers found his body at a home in the Eagles Nest Subdivision early Tuesday morning.

The exact address of the crime scene is 933 Mountain Crest Drive. A man identified as 41 year old Felix Garth was shot once in the face, this according to the Hinds County Coroner.

Earlier, Byram's Police Chief would only confirm suspected foul play, based on trauma to the body.

"The trauma did initially appear in some way it could have been a natural cause, but a closer inspection, we found there was some other trauma to the body that was not natural," said Chief Luke Thompson. "Again that's part of the investigation, part of the details we are trying to iron out right now." s

AMR was called to the the home around 6 a.m. Tuesday morning for a cardiac arrest.

Byram police executed search warrants and took family members in for questioning.

No word yet on any arrests in this case.
