PEARL, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Two men have been arrested in connection to Wednesday's road rage shooting on I-20 in Pearl.

29-year-old Brett Davis and 27-year-old Andrew Walters, both of Picayune, were arrested by the U.S. Marshals Task Force in Biloxi on Pass Road. They will be extradited back to Pearl where they will both be charged with attempted murder.

We do not know the identity of the man who was shot but we are told he is in stable condition.

Rankin County Undersheriff Raymond Duke says the unidentified driver was struck above the eye, but he was able to give information to authorities. We're told this all developed in the east bound lane at the Airport Road Exit around 4:30 p.m.

Pafford EMS officials told us the man was transported to UMMC.

Duke says the shooting, "Is a case of road rage gone really bad."

The case remains under investigation.

The Pearl Police Department would like to thank all agencies that have assisted in this investigation.
