Authorities have identified the 14-year-old who was killed in a four wheeler wreck on Monday afternoon.
Kameron Bacon, of Flora, was traveling south of Nichols Road when he was struck by an 18 wheeler that was traveling east on Mount Pilgrim Road. Bacon died on the scene. Family members who live nearby rushed to the accident site.
"It's been hard like especially for his close cousins. We were just with him yesterday at church and he was just up having fun and stuff and when this happened it was just a terrible thing," said Nykeem Liddell, cousin of the victim.
According to Mississippi Highway Patrol Corporal Eric Henry, the 18 wheeler was a Madison County vehicle. We are told the driver of that vehicle will not be charged.
"Kameron was a fun person to be around like he enjoyed riding his 4 wheeler with his cousins and stuff," said Liddell. "It's just hard. Once we lay him to rest it will be better for the family."
