JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Jackson Police Commander Tyree Jones has confirmed that the Bedi's Phillips 66 gas station on Briarwood Drive was broken into early Tuesday morning.

The owner of the gas station said that someone broke in through the roof and stole cigarettes and about $7,000. He suspects that the thief was a homeless man.

This is the second time this gas station has been robbed in the past three weeks.

This is the fourth gas station robbery to happen Tuesday morning, but police do not believe that this break in was connected to the other three.

This is a developing story. We will update as soon as new information is available.
