Funeral arrangement set for MRA student killed July 4th

RANKIN COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The funeral arrangements for 18-year-old Cole Kirby, who was killed in a July 4th wreck, have been finalized.

The services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 8, at Pinelake Church in Brandon. Graveside Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, July 8, at French Camp Cemetery in French Camp, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 7, from 5:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, and on Friday July 8, from 9:30 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. at Pinelake Church in Brandon, MS.

According to Rankin County Undersheriff Raymond Dukes, four teens, including Kirby, were all riding in a Jeep, when it left the roadway and flipped several time. All four were ejected. 

Sheriff Bailey said that all of the victims were under 19-years-old and attend schools in Madison and Rankin Counties.

Kirby was pronounced dead on the scene. Kirby was a well-loved student and baseball player at Madison Ridgeland Academy.
