Biloxi man sentenced for conspiracy to commit bribery

GULFPORT, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

41-year-old Sean Hyatt Anthony of Biloxi was sentenced to probation for conspiracy to commit bribery concerning programs receiving federal funds and honest services wire fraud by United States District Judge Keith Starrett in U.S. District Court in Gulfport.

The announcement was made by United States Attorney Gregory K. Davis.

Anthony, who has been on bond since March 3, was sentenced to serve the first six months of probation on house arrest.

District Judge Starrett also ordered Anthony to pay a fine of $50,000 and entered a forfeiture money judgment in the sum of $349,720.

The case was investigated by the FBI and the IRS.
