YAZOO COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Yazoo County Sheriff's Department received a call around 1 p.m. for a domestic situation.

The caller stated that it was the ex-boyfriend of a woman was causing a commotion.

According to the authorities, 28-year-old Torrian Taylor entered into a home with a gun and a knife waking his ex-girlfriend up.

Taylor and the woman's grandmother ended up getting into a fight and somehow the woman was able to run away into a wooded area on Lacy Lane near Highway 432.

Taylor then chased after the woman and found her.

Family members told police they heard a gunshot shortly after he entered into the woods. That's when a manhunt ensued.

Right now it is unclear whether the gun went off accidentally or not.

The woman was in the woods for about three hours and once officials finally found her, she was dehydrated.

Taylor was later found and apprehended by police without incident.
