JACKSON, Miss (AP) -

On Tuesday, convicted drug dealer Marvin Rocedreck Brown was sentenced to 20 years in prison and five years of supervised release.

42-year-old Brown, coordinated the distribution of large amounts of cocaine and methamphetamine in central Mississippi, as well as Newton and Neshoba Counties. He was given the same 20-year sentence and $1,500 fines by two different U.S. District Judges.

Brown pleaded guilty in March to conspiracy to launder drug proceeds.

He was found guilty by a jury last December of three counts of drug conspiracy and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. Brown had purchased multiple properties in Union, as well as cars and equipment such as a tractor, bulldozer, dump truck and motorcycles.

All of Brown's assets were seized or forfeited by law enforcement officials.

Four other Union and Decatur residents who worked with Brown were charged with drug money laundering charges last year. Two of them were given several-year prison sentences.
