PIKE COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The search continues for two other suspects authorities believe are connected to the brutal murder of 29-year-old Cort Gatlin.

Gatlin's body was found Thursday in Pike County's Bogue Chitto River, near Alfords Bridge. Gatlin was last seen on August 26 and later reported missing.

The Pike County Sheriff's Office is requesting the public's assistance in locating 25-year-old Exzavion "Zabo" Trevon Reed and 26-year-old Jeremy "Jeezy" Douglas Mcelvin.

It is possible that the two are riding in a black 2007 Chevy Caprice that has a white stripe on the hood. The car has a Mississippi License plate marked PLC 571.

An initial appearance was held Tuesday for the two other suspects in the case, 25-year-old Anthony J. Dauden and 26-year-old Bridget A. Dillon. A judge set bond at $500,000 for both suspects.

While Dauden professed his innocence before walking the courtroom, Dauden's girlfriend, Dillion, didn't say word. The couple is charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder involving the death of Gatlin, their one time friend.

"Cort was searching, looking for friends and he trusted them and everything went the wrong way for them," said Edward Gatlin Jr, the victim's brother.

During initial appearance, the judge revealed some of the details of the investigation the day Gatlin was killed.

The victim's family was shocked and sadden.

"To hear in detail how he was drove somewhere and how he refused to get out the car and they beat him and held him over the bridge," said Gatlin's sister, Thelma Gatlin. "And it didn't take all that."

Dauden's family also sobbed after hearing what lead to the brutal death of the victim.

"All I can say is we are sorry for their loss," said a family member of the suspect.

While investigators have not released a motive for the murder of Gatlin, Dauden's grandmother believes Gatlin had molested a child.

"That is the only thing that got me puzzled because he did molest a baby," said Gauden's grandmother, Ada Magee. "But still, I say they should have let the law handle that."

Gatlin's family said that claim is simply not true and they believe the killing could have been over drugs or a woman.

"My brother went to the police department and talk with the people and and they let him go to clear himself out of it," Thelma said.

"If Cort had anything to do with that I am sure law enforcement would have had him in custody. We know Cort didn't have anything to do with that," said the victim's brother.

A preliminary hearing for both suspects has been set for September 27.

Both were arrested by McComb police.
