MCCOMB, Miss. (AP) -

Four years after Hurricane Isaac forced the closing and draining of Lake Tangipahoa at Percy Quin State Park, the lake will reopen to fishing Saturday.

The lake will be open to children 15 and under from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The general public can wet their hooks starting Sept. 21.

In late August 2012, heavy rains from Hurricane Isaac washed away part of the earthen dam and raised fears it might collapse. Park officials had already been planning dam repairs, so once the immediate threat passed, they went ahead and drained the lake.

Park manager Will Busby says repairs are complete and the 500-acre lake is teeming with Florida-strain largemouth bass, crappie, bluegill, redear sunfish and catfish.
