Man breaks into ex-girlfriend's home charged with aggravated domestic assault

PEARL, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Pearl police responded to a home Friday, after the homeowner said her ex-boyfriend was attempting to get into her home.

Pearl PD Lt. Brian McGairty, said  officers responded to a residence on Burma Drive and discovered the victim had a protective order against the ex-boyfriend.

The man has been identified as 27-year-old Chas Brian Walker of Tracewood Drive in Jackson.

The unnamed victim was transported to a local hospital for evaluation of her injuries.

Walker was transported, by Pafford Ambulance Service, to a local hospital for evaluation of injuries he sustained from the broken glass door he busted through during the incident.

Once released from the hospital, Walker will be charged with aggravated domestic assault, violation of a protection order, and residential house burglary.

Neither the victim nor Walker's injuries are believed to be life threatening.

The incident remains under investigation.
