Wednesday's Child- Zach

He does just about everything in his cowboy hat including bowling. 15 year old Zachary prefers to be called Zach and on this week’s Wednesday’s Child he’s hoping to find a family who will call him "son".

Zach is polite and well mannered.  Right off the bat he told us about his cowboy hat and why he always wears it.

Zach said, “my cowboy hat I like watching Walker Texas Ranger with Chuck Norris in there, so basically I just like, I’m a big fan. I’ve been watching him ever since I was young.”

Zach enjoys outdoor activities like working on cars, or playing basketball and football.  He is also working on one hobby that he hopes turns into a career.

Zach told us, “I like being a PBR, which is a professional bull rider.”

A music lover, Zach plays guitar. He says that is not on his list of ideas for his future but he does have a plan “B” if his bull riding career does not pan out.

Zach explained, “probably NFL or NBA.  Reporter: So you’re a big football fan? Zach said, yes mam. Reporter: What’s your favorite team? Zach said, New England Patriots.”

Zach says he has thought about adoption and is ready for a change from foster care.

Zach said, “I used to be one of those kids that really didn’t care about nothing. But now I really do care about being adopted.”

His social workers say Zach especially needs a mother figure, but would probably do best in a two parent home where there is structure and straight forward rules.

Zach added, “I just want a family that will treat me right. A family that will show their kindness, responsibility towards me, basically people that are mature.”

Zach says he is willing to listen, is laid back most of the time and not hard to get along with.  He is hopeful there is a forever family who will give him a chance.
