Report: MSU's AD Scott Stricklin to take AD job at Florida

Florida is expected to name Mississippi State’s Scott Stricklin as its new athletics director.

According to USA Today’s Dan Wolken, the University of Florida is expected to name MSU’s Scott Stricklin its new A.D. tomorrow during a press conference. Stricklin will replace longtime athletics director Jeremy Foley.

Sources say that Stricklin is on Florida's campus today finalizing the deal.

Stricklin is a 1992 graduate of MSU and has been AD since 2010. Under Stricklin, MSU baseball was the national runner-up in 2013 as well as being the SEC regular season champions last season

Under Stricklin's leadership, Mississippi State has been to six straight bowl games and in 2014, for five weeks the Bulldogs were ranked No. 1 in the nation.

Last spring he was named AD of the year by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics. 

Stricklin helped lead the school in expanding Davis Wade Stadium, Humphrey Coliseum and Dudy Noble Field.
