TERRY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

JPD says a teen has been arrested for armed robbery and auto theft, that stemmed from a carjacking of a white Nissan Altima.

Officials say the carjacking incident happened on Wednesday.

We're told 17-year-old James Devonta Hawkins was arrested on Friday.

Police say other investigations are ongoing and authorities are still trying to identify other suspects.

Three men who robbed the Terry Dollar General Wednesday night have been tied to two other crimes in Jackson.

Commander Tyree Jones says they believe the same three men were involved in a house burglary around 5:30 Thursday evening and an auto burglary at Outback Steak House just after 7:00 p.m. The men are driving a white 2006 Nissan Altima, Hinds County tag HUT- 418.

Just before 10 p.m. Wednesday night, three unidentified men drove a stolen white Altima to the Terry Dollar General. The three entered the front door with guns drawn and robbed the store of several cash drawers. The store manager was hit on the head by one of the robbers.

The white Altima was stolen Wednesday afternoon in a northeast Jackson carjacking. The victim in this incident was also hit in the head with an unknown object.

“These robbers are armed and very dangerous,” said Hinds County Sheriff Mason. “If anyone spots the stolen white Altima, take every precaution. Do not approach this car or engage the occupants in any way."

If you see anything please contact police.

“Call 911 immediately.” Mason advised.
