JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A Jackson woman escaped her attacker after being shot during at a home in Presidential Hills Saturday.

JPD Commander Tyree Jones said the 49-year-old was shot once in the arm during a disturbance at a home on Lyndon B. Johnson Drive. 

After being shot, she went to her home on Flag Chapel Road and called police.

The unidentified shooting victim is in stable condition.

A 69-year-old female has been detained for questioning.

No word on an arrest at this time.
