JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A local food vendor from Vicksburg is at the state fair attracting hundreds of customers with it's one of a kind fried food and it's also gaining national TV exposure.

The Cooking Channel's Carnival Eats made a stop at Smokey Gal's Wednesday at the state fair to film part of its fourth season.

"In Mississippi you have to have hamburgers, but heaven forbid we must have something fried," said Smokey Gals Owner Leigh Anne garner. "So you put the combination together and you have a deep fried beer battered monster burger."

That may or may not be the showcased during a season 4 episode, but Garner said regardless, this is a dream come true because the hit TV show was her inspiration four years ago to start her fair food truck.

"We watch Carnival Eats all the time," added Garner. "I thought that looked like fun and I thought that I wanted to try that. We are always watching and looking for new ideas and I thought, I can do this. This will be fun."

"Carnival Eats is a super fun show where we travel across North America in search for the corkiest, crazy carnival concoctions," said Carnival Eats Host Noah Cappe. "The deep fried hamburger! When I say deep fried hamburger, I'm telling you the Smokey Gals we were filming with this morning literally are deep frying, bun and all, the entire burger. I've already eaten it and can confirm it's as magical as it sounds."

"Who would have dreamed this would come full circle and Carnival Eats picked us. We are so excited," said Garner.

The episode is expected to debut next year. A portion of the money you spend at Smokey Gals goes to Blair E. Batson Children's Hospital.
