Jackson restaurant transforms to raise money for leukemia patient

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

She's a little girl fighting a big disease, but Taylor is not doing it alone. On Wednesday, Jackson restaurant, Babalu's in Fondren, turned into Taylor's Taco Shop to help raise money for this little girl's battle with leukemia.

General manager Justin Courson said little Taylor also proved she has some skills in the kitchen!

"We had her come in and create her own taco," said Courson. "Her taco had fried chicken, a little come back sauce, some tomatos and lettuce, a little cotilla cheese on top, so it was delicious; it was a big hit, a lot of people that loved the taco, so she is a chef in the making."

Courson and Babalu's are Mississippi Strong with their fundraiser.

One dollar from the sale of each taco, all day, went back to Taylor's family to help with medical expenses.
