18-year-old armed robbery suspect surrenders to Jackson Police

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Eighteen-year-old J'Quantis Brown, wanted on several counts of armed robbery, has turned himself in to Jackson Police.

Brown, 17-year-old James Hawkins and 18-year-old Montra Wallace are believed responsible for the following armed robberies:

  • February 28, attempted armed robbery: Dixon’s Seafood, 1553 W. Northside Dr. Hawkins, Wallace and Brown all identified and charged with att. armed robbery of a business. No injuries reported.
  • February 28, armed robbery of a business: Family Dollar, 4747 Clinton Blvd. Hawkins, Wallace and Brown all identified and charged with armed robbery of a business. No injuries reported.
  • September 19, armed robbery of a business: Family Dollar. 3115 Capitol St. Hawkins, Wallace and Brown all identified and charged with armed robbery of a business. No injuries reported.
  • September 23, armed robbery of a business: Family Dollar, 2019 Raymond Rd. Hawkins and Wallace identified and charged with armed robbery of a business. No injuries reported.
  • October 5, armed robbery of an individual/auto theft: 4911 Old Canton Rd. Victim carjacked for a white Nissan Altima at gunpoint in the parking lot. Minor injuries were reported.
  • Hawkins and Wallace identified and charged with armed robbery of an Individual and auto theft. The vehicle was recovered on October 8. Hawkins was arrested on Friday, October 7 for this incident.

Wallace and Hawkins are also in custody. Police say more arrests are expected.
