Tchula teen wanted in double amputee assault turns himself in

TCHULA, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A teenager wanted in connection with an assault in Tchula has turned himself in to Iowa authorities. 

18-year-old Kamechie Coffer is accused of aggravated assault in connection with the May 2016 death of Clarence Blue a double amputee.

According to Tchula Police Chief Kenneth Hampton, Coffer fled to Iowa with his family. He turned himself in at the Black Hawk County Jail in Iowa. 

Hampton traveled to the jail and will be driving Coffer back to Tchula on Monday or Tuesday.
