JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump says he reserves the right not to comment on whether he will or will not accept the election result, if he loses.

Numbers from an NBC News/SurveyMonkey Poll reveal other Republicans could be following in his footsteps.

"Whether somebody accepts that or not, the orderly transition of power has gone on for 200 years. I can't speak for the other 49 states, but I can speak for Mississippi and we are going to do it right," said Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann.

Talks of a possible rigged election is forcing Hosemann to re-assure Mississippi voters their votes are safe.

"It's not rigged. Go vote. The only reason it would be rigged is if you didn't cast your ballot," Hosemann added.

Presidential Candidate Donald Trump isn't the only person making talks of not accepting the results of the election. A new NBC News/SurveyMonkey Poll shows 45 percent of Republicans might not accept the results if their candidate loses.

"I think the poll is wrong. I think it is false. So, if you come to Mississippi we believe in the electoral process. We've elected democrats and we've elected republicans," Hosemann said.

NBC says among Democrats, 82 percent say they will accept the results if their candidate loses the race.
