Hinds Deputies confiscate drugs, weapon and cash during traffic stop

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Around midnight Saturday, Hinds County Deputies attempted to make a traffic stop on Hwy 80 near Westhaven Blvd.  The driver, 32-year-old Jeremy Robinson did not stop for officers and bailed out on Carter Cir. near Metro Center Mall.

He was apprehended shortly after trying to run from officers. 50 Hydrocodone Tablets, two-and-a-half pounds of Marijuana, a stolen .40 cal. glock pistol and $828.00 in cash was recovered.  

Robinson was booked into the Hinds County Detention Center in Raymond on charges of, possession of marijuana with intent (while possessing a firearm),  
possession of a stolen firearm and other traffic related charges.  

“I am pleased that our deputies were able to get these illegal drugs and stolen gun out of our community and off the streets”, said Sheriff Mason.
