JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A family is in mourning after 21-year-old Deswaund Bell was shot and killed on November 9th.

And now, they're pleading for help finding the man responsible for the murder.

"He was a loving father, he had identical twins. He had a fiancee. My baby left here due to violence," said Shanna Owens, Deswaund's mother.

Deswaund was a Jackson State alumnus and ran a pool hall in South Jackson.

On Wednesday, his family says a man who'd been lurking by the Shell Gas Station on University Boulevard shot him three times in the back.

Police are still looking for the suspect, 26-year-old Alex Dixon, who they say fled on foot.

"When you just pray about it and let it go, and justice isn't served, they could do it again. And if anybody knows his whereabouts, just come forward and let someone know, because this was her son. It could be theirs tomorrow," said Stephanie Darnell, a close family friend.

Deswaund's mother is disabled, and his father died when he was 11-years-old.

He was the oldest of four siblings, and had recently proposed to the mother of his three-year-old twin daughters.

"He's gone, but he left two babies a part of him so I've got him still in them. So I'm gonna take every day to cherish those moments I have with my girls," Owens said, struggling to get the words out through her tears.

Deswaund's family and friends say they'll be holding a memorial tomorrow at 201 Handy Street, his old pool hall.

They've also set up a Go Fund Me Account, called "Memorial for Deswaund Bell Children".
