WOODVILLE, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A judge has set bond for a woman who police say confessed to strangling another woman.

Woodville Police Chief Jessie Stewart says 29-year-old Doris Smith Boyd is charged with burglary and murder.

Stewart says Smith Boyd provided a written confession that she strangled 71-year-old Isabelle Robinson inside Robinson's home on Gaylord Street on Sunday. Police say Smith Boyd placed plastic over Robinson's head.

The motive was robbery.

Bond has been set at $550,000. Smith Boyd is expected to appear for a preliminary hearing on Monday.
