Tragic news in Lincoln County.
Former Ole Miss Rebel Justin Sawyer passed away Saturday morning. According to the Daily Leader, he suffered a heart attack.
Sawyer was hired earlier this month as West Lincoln's head football coach. He spent the 4 seasons at Lawrence County, serving as defensive coordinator from 2014-2016.
Justin played center and tight end at Ole Miss from 1999-2003. He was a part of a offensive line that didn't allow a sack in the 2004 Cotton Bowl. Sawyer found the end zone in 2002, catching a touchdown pass from Eli Manning in a loss against Arkansas.
Justin Sawyer was 36 years old.

The only guy that I know who could play tightend on one play and center the next. Fly high, Big… https://t.co/pCuhwheN31— Jesse Mitchell (@jessemitchell95) February 18, 2017
