NATCHEZ, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A string of four convenience store robberies is being investigated by Natchez police.

Chief Danny White confirms that the Sprint Mart on Seargent Prentiss Drive was robbed by a masked man (pictured in surveillance photo) with a handgun Saturday night.

Around 10 p.m. Saturday, the robber took cash from the store clerk and left. This is one of the four stores robbed over a three-week span.

On February 28, the store clerk at Kaiser's Food and Fuel on Highway 61 was robbed at gunpoint.  Police suspect the robber is connected to the Sprint Mart robbery.  No arrest has been made in either of the Sprint Mart armed robberies.

And on March 2, the Exxon on Highway 61 was robbed.  35 year old Christoper Wimberly was arrested and charged in connection to the Exxon robbery (you can see his mug shot to the left).  He was given a $150,000 bond and remains in jail at this time.  Wimberly is not a suspect in any of the other robberies.

On March 7th, the Sprint Mart on Wood Avenue was robbed.  That suspect is at large as well.

We will update as soon as we know more.
