BROOKHAVEN, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

From their Facebook pictures, it was evident Ferral and Shelia Burage were loving life and each other.  Their children say they were two peas in a pod.

"They had a lot of love for each other, there wasn't a time where you wouldn't see them apart from each other, family events," said Marezka Burage. "It wasn't you see dad and you wouldn't see Shelia, or you see Shelia and you wouldn't see Dad, they were always together."

Both were gunned down by Willie Godbolt.

Marezka says she's still in shock after losing her father and step-mother, but remains strong for her younger siblings.  She says it's what her parents would want her to do.

"I will never get to see my Dad again, and me being his only child like that it really hurts me, it hurts me to never get to see my dad again," added Marezka.

Marezka and several families are struggling through the unexplained violence.

"Forget?  I will never forget," added Marezka. But forgive, I was taught to forgive and not hate so forgiving him one day, I can forgive him."

Ferral Burage drove trucks for Reeds metals.  Workers say he was a model employee, always happy warm and caring.

"Here at Reeds we are a family, and when something like that happens it affects everybody,"  said Hope Martin of Reed's Metals. "It affects everybody from the bottom to the top, everybody loves everybody around here and when something like that happens were all devastated."

The Burages leave behind five children. Right now all are sticking close, leaning on each other through this tough time.

More than half of the 17 people killed when a tourist boat sank on a Branson lake were members of the same Indiana family, and they likely wouldn't have been on the ill-fated trip but for a ticket mix-up.
