BROOKHAVEN, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Decals have been created to honor Deputy William Durr who was shot to death in the line of duty last weekend.

Authorization was given to add these decals to The Brookhaven Police Department's fleet, in remembrance of Deputy Durr. The decal shows his two badge numbers while serving the citizen's of Lincoln County.

William was known as B-9 with the Brookhaven Police Department, and Lincoln 22 with Lincoln Co. Sheriff's Department. His memory will now ride with every officer, and serve as a reminder to all of the ultimate sacrifice.

The Brookhaven Police Department is asking that you show a moment of silence and join them in prayer for William and all the Victim's Families at 9:22 A.M. and 9:22 P.M respectfully every day this week.

These decals are available to the public at Select Signs. A donation is being asked for the decal with the proceeds going to William's family.

The police department is encouraging the public to join in honoring Deputy William Durr by displaying his badge numbers 9/22.
