The Mississippi Highway Patrol is urging residents to use caution on US Highway 84 at MS 37 in Covington County after an accident early Friday morning.
The westbound lane of Highway 84 between Highway 532 and Highway 37 is now back open after a tractor-trailer carrying 135 calves wrecked.
According to officials on scene, at least 50 cows died. Crews on horseback remain in the area to corral remaining livestock.
Motorists are urged to use caution when traveling the area until the livestock is captured.
