(RNN) - The Seattle Times apologized on social media after misidentifying the state of Mississippi as Alabama on a Hurricane Harvey tracking map.

The original map went viral after people commented on and shared the glaring mistake.

After deleting that post, the Times corrected its map and tweeted an apology.

Even after the apology, some folks just couldn't let it go.

Another addressed a tweet to the Seattle paper saying, "Thanks, Portland!"

It's not the first time the state has been overlooked in weather coverage. While tracking the path of Hurricane Isaac in August 2012, The Weather Channel and other outlets referred to the state's Gulf coast region as "the land mass" between New Orleans, LA and Mobile, AL.
