CLINTON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Clinton police have arrested a man wanted for carjacking on Clinton Blvd.

He committed the crime Wednesday night.

24-year-old Deshun Ferrell was taken into custody with help from Jackson police.

Two additional suspects are being sought.

Wednesday, around 5:30 p.m. a tan 4-door sedan with three men inside rear-ended a silver 2006 Chevrolet Impala on Clinton Blvd near Easthaven Drive.

When the driver of the Impala pulled over in a residential area, the suspects demanded money for the damage they said their vehicle had.

When the victim didn't have any money, one of the three suspects got into the car and stole it.

The victim's wallet was inside the car, and the suspect tried to make purchases at different places with the card.

On Thursday, police found footage of the suspect at City G.E.A.R. on Robinson Road in Jackson.

Clinton police are warning the public about criminals using tactics like this one. Police say if this happens to you, pull to a well-lit area and stay on the phone until officers arrive.
