MADISON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Four men have been arrested and charged after a string of reported auto burglaries at a Madison park.

On November 18, the Madison Police Department responded to the reports of auto burglaries at the local park.

Officers learned that windows had been broken and purses were taken from the vehicles.

Investigators, with the assistance of the Ridgeland Police Department and the Flowood Police Department, developed a description and tag number for the vehicle that the suspects were traveling in.

On November 28, local agencies began receiving reports of bank checks taken from the burglaries being cashed at local banks using the identities of other victims from the burglaries.

On November 30, Madison Police Department officers located the suspect vehicle and arrested 29-year-old Kendarius D. Hope, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, 20-year-old Trayvon A. Key, of Dania Beach, Florida, 18-year-old Milik B. Hope, of West Park, Florida and 28-year-old Clifton O. Robinson, of Plantation, Florida.

The four suspects were taken into custody on initial charges of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Investigators developed additional information leading to Clifton Robinson and Milik Hope being charged with four counts of burglary of an automobile.

Kendarius Hope and Trayvon Key were charged with four counts of accessory after the fact to automobile burglary.

Additionally, all four suspects are being charged with conspiracy to commit the crime of uttering forgery.

The suspects are also under investigation for crimes committed in other local jurisdictions.

Additional charges are anticipated as well as the arrest of additional suspects.

The suspects are being held at the Madison County Detention Center awaiting an initial appearance in Madison Municipal Court.
