The deal is done. Drew Brees has reportedly signed a two-year deal worth $50 million win $27 million guaranteed, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapaport and Jane Slater.
Brees met with Saints management while in the building for Zach Strief's retirement.

In 2017, Brees led the Saints’ resurgence to the playoffs with an NFL-record 72.0% completion mark, 4,334 yards, 23 touchdowns and 8 interceptions. The team’s first playoff berth in 4 years was highlighted by the first home postseason win in 6 years before a last-second loss to the Vikings ended the run a week later.
2018 will be Brees’ 13th season in New Orleans. He turned 39 on January 15th.
