JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The USA International Ballet Competition returns to Jackson this summer.

Volunteers with the USA IBC, Downtown Jackson Partners, and Trustmark spent part of their Friday morning sprucing-up the area around the Mississippi Arts Center and Thalia Mara Hall.

Some 35,000 visitors are expected to be here for the Olympic-style competition featuring more than a hundred dancers from 19 different countries.

"In just about forty days, June 10 through 23, the area between the Westin and the Convention Complex will turn into the USA IBC International Village. We will have visitors and ticket-buyers from literally all over the world," says USA IBC executive director Mona Nichols.

If you would like to volunteer some time to help clean-up for the IBC, they'll be back in the same area on Saturday from 9 a.m. until noon.
