A Bulldog offensive lineman has been selected in the NFL Draft for the 2nd straight season. The Houston Texans selected Martinas Rankin in the 3rd Round on Friday. The Mendenhall native is the 80th overall pick.
Rankin won the 2017 Kent Hull Trophy as the best lineman among the Mississippi colleges. He started 18 games in two seasons at Mississippi State. Rankin was selected to the 2017 Coaches All-SEC 1st Team.

He won't be the only MSU connection in Houston. Benardrick McKinney is a rising star on the Texans defense.
