JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Justin Harper, a 20-year-old black man, died Monday, April 30, 2018, after a shooting on Cameron Street, according to Jackson police.

Sgt. Roderick Holmes said the shooting took place sometime before 5 p.m. in the 200 block of the street.

Officers found Harper lying in the front lawn of a home there.

Investigators determined he had been shot multiple times and died at the scene.

Police arrested Harper's cousin, 18-year-old T'Quarius Orion Jones, and charged him with murder.

Holmes said JPD learned that a disagreement between the two led to a fight.

At some point, investigators believe Jones left during the argument and came back with a handgun, opening fire.
