Champions crowned in Pearl at 2A/4A/6A State Track & Field finals

It's all about speed and skill this weekend. The MHSAA State Track & Field Championships are underway in Pearl with 2A, 4A, and 6A action.

The Clinton Lady Arrows won their 6th straight 6A state title. They would once again claim the 4x200 meter relay spoils while our cameras were there, Ole Miss signee Jayda Eckford running the anchor leg in the victory today.

The host Pearl Pirates won the 6A boys team title by 11 points over Oxford. It's their 2nd championship in the last 3 years.

Raymond claims the 4A boys title by 9 points over St. Stanislaus.

Pisgah is your 2A boys state champion.

McComb continued their domination of 4A girls, winning the state title for the fourth consecutive season.

The fastest lady in 6A is in the EIGHTH GRADE. Kennedi Sanders crossed the line in 11.94 seconds to take gold for Madison Central.

Mississippi State signee Cameron Crump won four state titles last year. The Strayhorn Mustang raced home in 10.59 seconds to repeat as 2A 100 meter champion.
