Mississippi College wins, Choctaws will face Delta State for spot in Gulf South title game

The Mississippi College baseball team pounded out 11 runs as they run-ruled the University of West Alabama on the second day of the Gulf South Conference Championship.

Four Choctaws posted multiple hit efforts led by Billy Cameron and Blaine Crim who each tallied four hits in the contest. The duo combined to drive in seven of the 11 runs in the game. Ty Alderman and Dylan Duplechain each added a pair of hits with an RBI.

Hunter Mullis tied a season-high with eight strikeouts in the effort as MC struck out nine Tigers in the contest.

The win over UWA marked the third of the season for Mississippi College.

Mississippi College faces Delta State on Tuesday, May 8. First pitch is set for 7:30pm. The winner advances to the GSC Tournament title game.
