Our forecast over the next few days can be summed up between the storm chances to start the week and the higher heat by the end of the week. A ridge of high pressure will hold west of the area to start the week off; we'll maintain scattered rain chances with highs in the upper 80s to lower 90s; lows in the middle 70s for Tuesday.
Watch out for localized flooding amid the heavy downpours that could produce gusty winds and frequent lightning. The highest rain chances Tuesday will likely be through mid-day; storm chances become more isolated by the afternoon hours.
A front will approach the region, helping to keep rain chances elevated for Wednesday. Highs will top out near 90°. The ridge will reassert itself by the end of the week, bringing the heat up into the middle and upper 90s; feels like temperatures near 110°. Rain chances, though still present, will go down as the ridge presses down on the region.
