Expect a mix of sun and clouds with highs in the upper 80s and lower 90s with the chance for scattered afternoon showers and storms. Storm chances may continue a bit longer into Tuesday evening as a weak boundary moves across the region. Lows will fall to the upper 60s and lower 70s.
A weak ridge will push highs into the lower 90s Wednesday – heat indices will run close to 100°. Heat and humidity driven showers and storms still expected to round out the work week with highs in the upper 80s.
By the upcoming holiday weekend, we'll be watching a disturbance moving northward out of the Gulf of Mexico, that will help to promote more showers and storms. There is still uncertainty on its track – but the moisture pump will likely affect the region at any rate. As of now, we don't expect a complete washout of your weekend plans, but be ready to dodge rain drops at times amid highs generally in the 80s.
