FLOWOOD, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The Flowood Police Chief announced he is retiring after 30+ years of service. 

Chief Richie McCluskey confirmed Wednesday that he was retiring. He began his law enforcement career with Flowood in 1988. He left in 2000 to work as Chief Investigator to work as a State Investigator with the Attorney General's Office.

He came back to serve as Flowood police chief in January of 2015, after working for the AG's office for 15 years. 

Chief McCluskey said, “It has been a privilege & honor to serve the City of Flowood. The men & women of the department are the finest professionals you’ll find and I’m confident the tradition will continue”.
