"When I first got here, nobody thought I could do it. It just means a lot," St. Joseph's head coach Gerard McCall said through tears. "Those guys believed in us, believed in our coaching staff, and our people believed in us. I'm happy."

McCall also commented on Guillory's stellar performance on the mound Saturday afternoon.

"I can't say enough about Grayson. There was a time in the year when Grayson couldn't throw a strike," McCall explained.

Grayson said this is the first time he's ever thrown a complete game.

"Who would've thought in game three I would come out here," Grayson said. "Coach had faith in me, and I had faith in the whole team backing me up on defense. That's just what we did honestly."
